Welcome to History
Our course traces the history of Britain from the Iron Age through the Norman Conquest of 1066 to the Industrial Revolution 1851. We also study wider world topics such as the International Slave Trade, the Holocaust and world events in the twentieth century. It is a fascinating story and I thoroughly enjoy teaching our pupils about all of the topics we study. As part of the course we have visited Speke Hall, the Liverpool Museum, the Mining Museum, Quarry Bank Mill and the Medical Museum in Leeds. During all our visits, we have been complimented on the good behaviour (and enthusiasm) of our groups – which sums up the nature of our pupils!
